About

Here is the User Guide presented in Animator.
This will provide a better understanding of how it works.

A flipbook is a series of drawn slides that form an animation when shown in quick succession. With the use of a little imagination, there are endless possibilities for making hilarious flipbooks!

*SINGLE PLAYER*
Single player mode allows you to create a flipbook on your own. This is your chance to put your imagination to work!

--End of Session--
Once you are finished, tap the submit button to finalize your flipbook. You will then have the options to animate your flipbook, share it with friends, nominate it for the Hall of Fame, and much more! To edit your flipbook after it is completed, save it and then open it from the Saved Flipbooks menu.

*SOCIAL NETWORKING*
Share your flipbooks with your friends on Facebook or Twitter! Invite your friends to play with you! Once you log into Facebook or Twitter the first time, you will not have to log in again.

*HALL OF FAME*
To view the Hall of Fame, go to the Saved Flipbooks menu.

  1. Hello - I've been having trouble connecting to Facebook through animator free. Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot this without uninstalling/reinstalling animator free? (I have an animation I don't want to lose). thanks.

  2. Thanks for the feedback. Could you explain in further detail what trouble you are having and where it is occurring? Even more helpful would be a screenshot, which you could email to JBrownie77@gmail.com

  4. Go to the Saved Flipbooks menu.
Swipe sideways on the flipbook you want to delete.
A red delete button will appear.
    Tap that.

  6. Susan, you will not lose your flipbooks by updating, so go for it!

  7. Jonathan,
Thanks for your quick reply. I did send some videos to myself first, updated and I did lose all of my saved flip books. I just thought you would want to know

  8. Jonathan,
I was just thinking... I had turned off the iCloud back up on my Animator because of memory and storage issues... maybe this is why I lost my saved flip books?!?!?

  9. Jonathan,
I just want to let you know, as well as your readers, that the upgrade did NOT wipe all of my saved videos away!
I upgraded based on the "News" prompt under settings, paid my $.99 and a new app appeared... that obviously does not have my saved videos on it :-)
I LOVE this app and use it with 1st grade - 5th grade students!!!!!
    Thank you~

  10. Susan, glad to hear that you got it figured out and are enjoying using Animator! Since you do use it with your students, feel free to have them submit flipbooks for the student animations page. It is as simple as nominating the flipbook for the hall of fame within the app and noting in the email that it is a student animation.

    1. Hailey,

You must have the paid version to add audio. If you have this version, once you complete and submit a flip book, on the next screen tap the microphone button to add audio.

  12. Hello,

Did you remove the ability to adjust the FPS? I no longer get the bar that let me change that in my I pad. Thanks!

    1. Hi Chip, sorry for the late reply, but it should be working again if you update to iOS 9.

    1. Hi,
I just tested it and was able to save as expected, so I would guess that Animator just doesn't have permission to access your photos. Go to Settings and under Privacy you can give Animator permission :)

  15. Hello!

I am assessing the privacy of your app, for use in U.S. schools. Does your app collect any personal information from users? Where can we find your privacy policy?

    1. Hi Ina,

I don't have a privacy policy posted anywhere, but there isn't any personal information collected.
The app simply uses your GameCenter account if you have one enabled.
It also asks for permission to access the photo library for the purpose of saving animations, but this can be easily disabled if desired.

If there is anything else you would like clarification about, feel free to email me directly :)

      Cheers,
      Jonathan
